Barcelona is a city where old meets new, tradition and modernism dance together in perfect harmony. With a history stretching back over 2,000 years, it’s no wonder this place is a cultural powerhouse. Unlike other parts of Catalonia where Catalan is the main language, Barcelona is bilingual, with both Catalan and Spanish spoken side by side. Since democracy came along, Catalan culture has come back to life, celebrating its past achievements and creating new things. The city is packed with museums, like the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA) and the National Museum of Art of Catalonia, which have an amazing collection of Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Modern art. Barcelona’s architecture is also a sight to behold, with its stunning buildings, lively theaters, concert halls, and cinemas. Whether you’re wandering through the historic streets or treating yourself to a Michelin-starred meal, Barcelona has something for everyone. It’s a city that celebrates both tradition and innovation, and you’ll never run out of things to do. *Hotel Neri, or similar 5-star property

Palma de Mallorca, Spain
Day 3 | 15 June 2025
Nestled in the azure waters of the Mediterranean, Mallorca is a Spanish island that’s a true gem. From its culinary delights to its vibrant culture and breathtaking beaches, this island has something for everyone. The capital city, Palma de Mallorca, is a stunning blend of old and new. With its sand-colored buildings and rich history, it’s a must-visit destination. Palma has been conquered and liberated countless times throughout its long history, dating back to the Bronze Age. Today, it’s a gateway to endless Mediterranean beauty, bustling markets, and mouthwatering flavors. Cafes and bars line the sweeping coastline, where you can enjoy strong espressos to start your day or splashes of red Majorcan wines to end it. Bicycles zip along the promenade, inviting you to wander in the morning sunshine beside the waves. Dominated by the iconic Santa María Cathedral, which stands tall over the city and coastline, Palma is steeped in history and culture. The old town is a charming labyrinth of cobblestone streets, filled with dripping ice creams and sun-soaked squares. If you’re a foodie, you’ll be in heaven. The island’s cuisine is simply superb, with local ingredients bursting with flavor. Tomatoes are extra sharp and delicious, and the seafood is always juicy and plump. The construction of the magnificent cathedral, Le Seu, began in 1229 and was finally completed in 1601. It’s a perfect example of Palma’s blend of the historic and the contemporary, and even the famous architect Antoni Gaudí contributed to its design. The interior features a stunning modernist interpretation of the New Testament by artist Miquel Barcelo, which is beautifully painted across the chapel’s walls. Nearby, the Royal Palace of La Almudaina fortress stands as a testament to the Moorish influence on the island. With its square towers and Arabic archways, it’s now an official summer residence for the King of Spain.

Valencia, Spain
Day 4 | 16 June 2025
Valencia is a city that takes great pride in its history and culture. During the Spanish Civil War, it was the last stronghold of the Republican Loyalist government, holding out against Franco’s National forces until the country fell under 40 years of dictatorship. Today, Valencia embodies the spirit of modern Spain with its daring design and architecture, as well as its innovative cuisine. However, it’s also deeply rooted in tradition and conservative values. Located on the Mediterranean coast, Valencia’s history and geography have been shaped most significantly by the River Turia and the fertile floodplain (huerta) that surrounds it. The city has been a battleground since its founding by the Greeks, with El Cid capturing Valencia from the Moors in 1094 and achieving his most famous victory here in 1099. He died in the battle, but his corpse was strapped to his saddle, so terrified the besieging Moors that it caused their complete defeat. In 1102, his widow, Jimena, was forced to return the city to Moorish rule, but Jaume I finally drove them out in 1238. Valencia was once known for its frequent and devastating floods until the River Turia was diverted to the south in the late 1950s. Since then, the city has undergone a remarkable transformation, with urban beautification projects transforming the landscape. The once-famous bridges that spanned the Turia now gracefully connect the city to a beautiful municipal park, while the spectacularly futuristic Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències (City of Arts and Sciences), most of it designed by the renowned Valencia-born architect Santiago Calatrava, has finally created an exciting architectural link between this river town and the Mediterranean. If you’re ever in Valencia, a day trip to Albufera Nature Park is definitely worth it.
Cartagena, Spain
Day 5 | 17 June 2025
Nestled at the crossroads of diverse cultures, this Murcian port is a treasure trove of ancient tales waiting to be discovered. From its humble beginnings as a Carthaginian settlement in 227 BC, this sun-soaked, southeastern gem has been a coveted natural harbor, attracting civilizations from far and wide. As you wander through the ruins and admire the modernist architecture along Calle Mayor, you’ll feel the echoes of the past, from the Vandals to the Phoenicians and Moors. The crown jewel of Cartagena is the majestic Castillo de la Concepcion, a soaring castle that invites you to ascend aboard a panoramic lift. Inside, you’ll be surrounded by an impressive collection of archaeological treasures, while outside, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the port and the surrounding waters. Keep an eye out for the striking blue peacocks that strut their stuff with flair. Cartagena’s popularity as a tourist destination took off in 1988 when a remarkable discovery was made - the well-preserved bowl of a Roman Theatre. Step inside and immerse yourself in the grandeur of this ancient venue, which evokes a sense of history and imagination. As you stroll along the breezy waterfront, you’ll catch a glimpse of distant Africa, its hazy shores shrouded in mystery. And if you’re lucky, you might even spot a gleaming warship sailing by. Cartagena’s strategic location has made it an important naval base since the 16th century, and it continues to be a hub of maritime activity. When the sun sets, the city comes alive with the lively atmosphere of tapas bars, where you can savor the delicious flavors of crisped paella, succulent squid, and creamy aubergine. And if you’re visiting during Easter, be sure to experience the Semana Santa festivities, which feature hooded processions, magnificent floats, and solemn, fiery displays that will leave you spellbound.
*Private Chaîne Group Dining at Atlantide

Malaga, Spain
Day 6 | 18 June 2025
Malaga, nestled on the sunny shores of Spain’s stunning subtropical climate, boasts breathtaking beaches and a vibrant cultural scene. Its allure has only grown in recent years, thanks to its historic old town and Moorish fortifications. Just a stone’s throw away, you’ll find the renowned beaches of the Costa del Sol, perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. For a taste of Moorish heritage, venture inland to explore the enchanting treasures of Granada and Cordoba. Malaga’s urban beach, La Malagueta, offers ample space for sunbathing, swimming, and enjoying seaside cocktails or seafood tapas at the nearby restaurants. While Malaga and the Costa del Sol are famous for their glorious weather and beaches, the city has also emerged as a true artistic powerhouse. Be sure to visit the renowned Picasso Museum, housed in the artist’s birthplace, and explore the recently opened outpost of the Pompidou Centre. The city’s vibrant Soho district comes alive with colorful street paintings, adding to its artistic charm. Known as La Manquita, or the one-armed woman, the city’s cathedral stands tall over the historic old town, its massive bell tower a testament to its rich history. An accompanying second tower was never completed, giving the cathedral its unique nickname. The Alcazaba fortress palace, perched over the waterfront, offers a glimpse into the Moorish era when the region was under their rule. For a deeper dive into Arabic influence, visit Granada’s Alhambra palace or Cordoba’s La Mezquita mosque. Alongside Seville’s converted cathedral, these cities form Andalucía’s Golden Triangle of Moorish wonders, a must-see for art and history enthusiasts.
Malaga, Spain
Day 7 | 19 June 2025
Nestled in the sunny Andalusia region of Spain, Malaga is a city that’s a perfect mix of old-world charm, vibrant art, and breathtaking nature. You’ll find its famous beaches, lively festivals, and of course, the birthplace of the legendary Pablo Picasso. Whether you’re wandering through its historic streets or indulging in delicious local food, Malaga promises an experience you won’t soon forget!
Gibraltar
Day 8 | 20 June 2025
Gibraltar is a fascinating British territory located in southern Spain. It’s a unique peninsula with a rich history, featuring the iconic Rock of Gibraltar mountain. You’ll see bright red phone boxes, Union Jacks, and cones of fish and chips, all set against the stunning backdrop of the sun, sea, and sand. Gibraltar is a bit like a surreal dream, with moments where you can be on the African shoreline and then suddenly find yourself on the runway of a busy international airport. The Rock of Gibraltar stands tall at 400 meters above the waves, symbolizing this unique place. You can hike up the Rock or take a cable car for breathtaking views and even meet the mischievous colony of Barbary macaques that live on its slopes. Europe’s only wild monkeys roam free and loose on the mountain, so keep your sunglasses and cameras handy! Gibraltar also has a fascinating history, with the Siege Tunnels telling the story of the struggles for this land. The British bravely dug tunnels through the rock by hand, transforming it into a giant watchtower that could defend the territory. Natural caves inside droop with stalactites, and a squat Moorish castle stands proudly at its summit. Gibraltar is a small but mighty place, covering just two and a half square miles. It’s been under British rule since 1713, and you can feel the influence of old Britain in Grand Casemates Square, a sun-soaked plaza where you can sip ice-cold beers and cocktails and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Casablanca, Morocco
Day 9 | 21 June 2025
Casablanca, a city steeped in history and modernity, is a captivating blend of old and new. Its white art deco buildings, gleaming like pearls along the wide pathways, create a stunning backdrop for the sparkling sea. Amidst the city’s vibrant culture and chaos, there’s an air of creativity that makes Casablanca a truly unique destination. The Hassan II Mosque, a testament to Morocco’s architectural prowess, took seven years and 10,000 artists to bring to life. With its cool marble, cavernous prayer rooms, and intricate inlays, it’s a sight to behold. The mosque’s retractable roofs allow the sun to flood in, while dizzying glass floors dazzle. And the blue Atlantic waves crash below your feet, creating a sense of awe and wonder. After a humbling visit to the mosque, take a stroll along La Corniche, where surfers ride the waves and chic cafes offer front-row seats for a refreshing peppermint tea. Casablanca is a foodie’s paradise, with boulevards lined with French-fusion restaurants, lively beachfront joints, and raw seafood bars that serve up the freshest catches straight from the boat. For those seeking a taste of that golden-age Hollywood romance, wander through the medina, with its unkempt charm and maze of alleyways filled with bustling barber shops and butchers.
*Private Chaîne Group Dining at Kaiseki
Kaiseki is all about the art of careful and stunning presentation. Our menus are inspired by the five elements of traditional Japanese nutrition and strive for balance, just like yin and yang. And guess what? Teppanyaki is only available for evening diners, so come on over and experience the magic!
Tangier, Morocco
Day 10 | 22 June 2025:
Tangier, a city on Morocco’s north coast, is like Africa’s friendly hand reaching out to Europe. With its lively waterfront and bustling markets, this vibrant city is an exciting adventure into an incredible continent. Tangier’s strategic location at the narrowing of the Strait of Gibraltar made it a crucial Phoenician trading town. Today, it’s a melting pot of cultures and curiosities, where you can experience the rich heritage of Morocco. Part of the fun of Tangier is the lively dance as you navigate through the city, dodging friendly hawkers. This is a place where you can stroll with confidence and purpose. Venture into the Medina of Tangier for a sensory overload, with bartering and bantering echoing through the narrow alleys. The Medina is a crowded, noisy, and busy place, but it’s also filled with colorful spices, dried fruits, and fabrics in an authentic Moroccan marketplace. Take a break from the heat with a refreshing glass of orange juice or a sip of mint tea. Just outside the city, you’ll find the Caves of Hercules, a coastal hollow that opens at both ends. The Phoenicians carved a window in the shape of the African continent, which offers stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Legend has it that Hercules rested within its confines. From Tangier, you can also explore the Rif Mountains, where you’ll find the charming village of Chefchaouen. Known for its bright blue alleyways, Chefchaouen is a beautiful, colorful masterpiece that spills down the mountain like a waterfall.
Exclusive Full Day Tangier Experience:

Tastes and Traditions
The hotel’s food scene is top-notch! Chef Christopher Blake is the mastermind behind the kitchens of Crudo, Parisa, and the Spa Restaurant. He’s got years of experience, having worked at the renowned La Mamounia in Marrakech. His philosophy is simple: “From the sea and the garden to the table.”
You can see this in the quality and freshness of everything that goes into the kitchens. Many of the ingredients come from the hotel’s own orchard and kitchen garden, thanks to its proximity.
Want to dive into the world of gastronomy? Book a private cooking class with the hotel’s chef. You’ll get to choose from a variety of dishes and learn all about the ingredients, their significance, and where they come from. The wood-fired oven and the huge, locally made wooden table in the courtyard attached to the restaurant might be the first things that catch your eye, but it’s the dishes that really show you why food is the way to one’s heart.
And guess what? Your meal will be paired with a local wine selected from a variety of wines you tried during the private tasting before the cooking class.
Cadiz, Spain
Day 11 | 23 June 2025:
Cadiz, a city steeped in history, boasts over a hundred watchtowers that gaze out across the waves. With its charming cobbled side streets, you’ll embark on a journey through 3,000 years of history, stumbling upon palm-tree lined plazas filled with cozy coffee shops. As the oldest city in Western Europe, Cadiz offers a treasure trove of architectural wonders and unexpected twists that reveal fascinating new stories. Founded by the Phoenicians in 1100 BC, Christopher Columbus used Cadiz as his base for his groundbreaking voyages of 1493 and 1502. The city’s strategic location near Africa’s northern tip led to its growth as a hub for New World trade. The Catedral de Cádiz, with its majestic twin bell towers, stands as a symbol of the city’s wealth and importance, dominating the Atlantic’s waves. Inside, you’ll find treasures from Cadiz’s extensive trading exploits in the West Indies and beyond, which contributed to the city’s historical prosperity. Enveloped by the ocean on almost every side, Cadiz has an island-like feel, offering a refreshing escape from the scorching sun of southern Spain. The sweeping golden sand beach of Playa Victoria is the perfect spot to cool off. The two towers of the new El Puente de la Constitución de 1812 mark a modern landmark in this ancient city, serving as a spectacular new road bridge. Torre Tavira, the most famous of Cadiz’s watchtowers, stands tall as the highest point in the city. Climb to the top for breathtaking views of the ocean surrounding the city and learn about the towers, built by trading merchants to survey the harbor from their luxurious homes. The Central Market is a vibrant hub of bartering, where flashing knives skillfully slice fresh fish. Take a break at the orbiting bars to savor tapas, freshly prepared using the market’s delicious produce.

As you explore Lisbon, take a stroll through the charming streets of Alfama, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods. Don’t miss the chance to visit the dedicated museum to learn more about these beautiful tiles.
Afterward, head to São Jorge Castle for breathtaking views of Lisbon’s red rooftops. Just one of many majestic viewpoints, Miradouro da Graça is often considered Lisbon’s finest panorama, with the iconic copper-colored suspension bridge stretching over sparkling water beyond the sea of buildings.

There’s also another UNESCO-recognized location nearby, Sintra, where a colorful town is nestled amidst thick gardens and towering mountains, capped by the stunning Pena Palace.
As the day comes to an end, take a moment to relax and enjoy a quick break with a glass of Ginjinha, a delicious cherry liqueur served in chocolate cups.
